Real or Photoshopped? The Story Behind The Famous Windows XP Wallpaper


This image entitled “Bliss”, is probably one of the most-viewed ever, having been chosen to be the default background for the operating system Windows XP. XP, now 12 years old and having been one of the most used operating systems of all time still retains a market share of 29%, roughly 500 million people. Support for the OS officially ended last week on April 8th, to mark the event WindowsNL released this video documenting the full story behind its famous wallpaper and how photographer Charles O’Rear captured it, in Sonoma County.
